Gabrielle is an illustrator and book cover artist
Born, raised, and based in a small town near the bigger city of Milan, Italy, Gabrielle works as a freelance illustrator.
Her artistic journey began in 2015, after she dropped out of university, where she had half-heartedly studied history, and decided to pursue a freelance career in illustration instead, a former love, giving her parents a big scare that lasted for years.
Inspired first by artists of Disney's Golden Age like Eyvind Earle, and then by fantasy and science fiction illustrators like Jason Chan and Dan Dos Santos, Gabrielle began sharing fanart and personal works online, featuring fantasy characters, surreal colour compositions, and storytelling.
In 2017, Gabrielle’s parents recovered from the shock of her career choice. This was the year she started working with author A.P. Mobley on the covers and artworks for the War on the Gods books, first in a series of collaborative projects.
By 2018, Gabrielle was working with monthly subscription boxes on illustrations inspired by her favourite books, marking a turning point that allowed her mother to finally hold tangible proof of these commissions and let out a sigh of relief: what had once seemed like a make-believe job was actually real.
In 2020, Gabrielle started illustrating book covers for international publishers, and a year later she illustrated her first book, Lilith, for The Works of George MacDonald – Onesimus.
As of 2025, Gabrielle is still drawing, and when she’s not, she can be found at her desk writing horror stories while sipping mint tea.
